The Last of the Fall Looks
I love all of the fun details in fall and winter clothing. The colors are always so warm, beautiful and versatile. I love mixing different patterns, textures, styles and colors to create all different looks. I also love layering different pieces together giving each one a new and different look.
This adorable goldenrod, bell sleeve top from Banana Republic is one of my favorite purchases of the year. The polka dot textured detail gives it a little extra something and the bell sleeves send it over the top. It could be paired with a skirt and tall boots or like I have here with jeans and booties.
Recently I was on the hunt for a new pair of dark wash jeans that would last for a long time and go with anything. I hate dropping the money on jeans, but I wear them just about every day, so it's worth it. These Lucky Brand jeans are really well made and come in a ton of washes, styles, sizes and lengths. This style is the Ave Mid Rise Legging Jean. I chose this style because I like my jeans to be more fitted around my ankle. I think this makes them look better with booties and easier to tuck into taller boots. These don't fit like a typical legging style jean, they aren't too tight and they are higher rise which I love.
Of course you've probably see the JCrew herringbone vest so I won't drone on about it. I will say that they have a phenomenal sale going on right now and it's on sale for $35! That's a deal that literally happens about once a year so don't pass it up! It goes with everything from leggings and sweatshirts to jeans and a nice blouse.
Yet another Lucky Brand splurge, these booties are so adorable and go with everything. I love the studded detailing, it adds a bit of edge that a plain pair of leather boots doesn't have. I actually bought these on sale a few months ago, but recently saw them at Marshall's for even cheaper than what I paid. If you're a Louisville local, I know that the Marshall's in Valley Station has them if you're looking to purchase a pair.
I love a darker lip for fall and winter, and this deep berry color is perfect. Since I don't wear lipstick very often, I don't like to splurge on it. This Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in the color HD Shine is perfect for the makeup lover on a budget. I actually saw another blogger I follow feature it and decided to check it out. It lasts for hours without losing it's vibrancy, but still comes off really easily. I've always been hesitant about trying lip stains because I don't like the idea of not being able to remove it. This wears like a stain, but still comes off easily.
I'm excited to start sharing some festive holiday looks this month so stay tuned!
