Hello everyone, I’m glad you stopped by my little corner of the Internet!  I’m Emily, a recent college grad from Louisville, Kentucky.  Writing is one of my biggest passions.  It’s intriguing to me that I can greatly impact someone with words.  I hope to inspire anyone who reads my words and give them a little something to smile about.  You’ll find a bit of everything here, personal style inspiration, recipes to give your Kitchen Aid a little love, even the stories of some of the amazing people I encounter on a daily basis.  I’m not labeling my blog or really allowing it to fall into a specific niche because I don’t want to limit my creative abilities.  If you had to categorize it, I suppose you could drop it in the lifestyle pool, but for now we’ll just see where it goes.

The name of my blog, Emily Inspired, stemmed from this idea of not being held back and having full creative control.  I want to be able to write about things I find inspiring and share that with all of you.  I would also like the chance to inspire some of you with my original ideas and creations.  Inspiration seems like such an intense word, but really, it’s fairly simple.  Anything you encounter in your day to day routine can spark inspiration.  You could be inspired by a podcast or song you listen to, a conversation you have, even something as small as the layout of a room can inspire you in some way.  Maybe you are inspired by something completely different from me.  In all likelihood you are.  That’s the fun thing about inspiration; it can stem from anywhere, come in many forms, and present itself differently to each individual person.

I’ve contemplated starting a blog for a few years now.  I even created one for a class I was in with hopes of carrying it on once the class was complete, but no such luck.  Life got in the way, as it often does, so here I am freshly graduated and ready to fully commit.  I hope you enjoy following along on this blogging journey, and I hope to make some sort of impact on you whether it be big or small.
